About Me

My name is Kailyn Shartel Hall, and I’m a PhD Candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at Purdue University. I also hold a Masters in Writing (Rhetoric & Composition) from Missouri State University, and a Bachelors in Classics from Mizzou.

My research interests focus on Writing Program Administration, First-Year Composition Pedagogy, Teacher Training (Practicums), Developmental Writing Education, and Assessment Practices. My dissertation work focuses on Graduate Teacher Training at Master’s-Granting Institutions.
